There are many ways you can take action today

Tracking progress. Inspiring action.

As a nationally led program, Vital Signs sources and centralizes local data as a way of measuring the vitality of a community and to support evidence-based, locally-relevant solutions that inspire civic engagement, provide focus for public debate, and help the community direct resources where it will have transformative impact.

We encourage you to explore Vital Signs data, use the resources, share them with those around you, and take action. If you feel inspired to act, we humbly offer the following three suggestions:

Listen.

We are all experts of our own experience, but it is critically important to listen and learn from others. Understanding how others experience life in the Comox Valley helps foster empathy, understanding, and inclusive growth.

Get involved.

Volunteer with non-profit organizations that are addressing local issues or serving our populations in need. Reach out to organizations directly to learn how you can help and share social media to help elevate their voice.

Give locally.

If you are among those who can give back, using your influence or financial means, we urge you to give to any Comox Valley charity (every dollar helps) or contact your community foundation to learn about impactful ways to give. Donating offers immediate relief and is a key driver for long-term strategic change.
